Its symptoms vary from person to person. In general, overall pain in the joints and spasm in the muscles, is common. Sleep disturbances are common and the condition is often linked to chronic fatigue syndrome. Chronic fatigue syndrome can leave the individual with the disorder tired and unable to function. Fibromyalgia is more common in women than men and occurs most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50.

Chiropractic can also be used to treat the trigger points or tender points of fibromyalgia. Soft tissue procedures in Chiropractic are especially helpful.
Fibromyalgia sufferers also need to make changes in diet, posture, daily activities, and sleeping habits.
